Our Mission
Church & Dodge is a homegrown volleyball club built on community and connection. Our mission is to provide kids with accessible, high-level volleyball training in a supportive environment. Every director, coach, and volunteer is an ETHS alum and an active member of the Evanston community committed to giving back through the game we love.
What we offer
- 2 Mandatory Practice per week
- 4–6 Competitive Tournaments
- Program Fee: $1,250 (payment plans + scholarships available)
More than just volleyball, we offer mentorship, encouragement, and a strong community that extends beyond the court.

We’re based in Evanston, with practices held at ETHS. Our tournaments take place throughout the Chicagoland area, all within a two-hour drive.
FAQ's
We understand that that it can be tough to navigate the club sports landscape. Our mission at Church & Dodge is to create a club experience where players improve their skill set, become better teammates and actually have fun.
How many tournaments does each team play?
Each team plays 4 - 6 tournaments. The tournaments are usually within an hour to an hour and a half drive. Expect about two 2-day tournaments and the rest are single full day tournaments.
How competitive is Church & Dodge?
We can guarantee that each player will receive equal reps during practice. Our goal is to give everyone an opportunity to play in tournaments, but playing time will vary based on skill level, effort and consistent practice attendance. Players who do not regularly attend practice should not expect significant playing time.
How often is practice?
We practice twice a week (Tuesday and Sunday) in Evanston.
Are there tournaments that require air travel?
No. We try to choose tournaments within an hour of Evanston. Some of our top teams may have the opportunity to participate in higher-profile tournaments elsewhere in the Midwest, but they would still be within driving distance and discussed in advance.
Do you offer girls and boys teams?
Yes! Church & Dodge offers seasons for both boys and girls. The boys’ season runs from late August through January, while the girls’ season begins in October after the school season ends.
